Bumping into a Buoy

The words were nothing new. We had read them a thousand times before. But last night they were standing taller, wearing brighter clothing, shouting life in our face.

Nor things present, nor things to come -- nothing separates us from God's love.

Our present circumstances + what might be ahead of us are the things our anxious worries and consuming fears are made of. They try to isolate and drown us, but those words.

Those words become the life line our drowning selves are frantically searching for. We need to know we aren't alone, that God's love doesn't run short. Ever. We are buoyed by this hope: no separation exists in the waters of God's love.

Are you in need of a buoy today? Grab a hold of the truth that God's love for you cannot be escaped or lost. He surrounds you both today and in all your tomorrows. Do you know someone who needs a life line? Be brave and cast truth their direction. They are desperately in need!

Amazing how a few simple words can bump into our lives in a most life-giving way. I'm thankful for the personal touch of a loving God! Aren't you?
