What Every Monday Needs

Monday. And not just any Monday, but the first day of school Monday. The dread and nerves are as thick and heavy as the fog we had after last night's rain. Which is something I really do find lovely. The fog, I mean.

After tucking everyone in last night, wiping fearful tears, praying honest prayers, I expected to drop into bed as I was just barely holding up. But the quiet and alone lured me in. And the panting in my spirit needed a meeting with the stream of Living Water.

He will redeem my soul in peace from the battle which is against me, For they are many who strive with me. God will hear and answer them--even the one who sits enthroned from of old." Selah

There it was, my Selah (rest, pause); the very sip of hope I needed in the midst of a dry and weary desert. He will redeem...in the midst of the impossible, in the throngs of middle school hallways, in the struggles of Monday. He will redeem. God hears our prayers. In the face of the hopeless we can remain hopeful.

However your Monday is looking, be sure to visit the streams of Living Water that you might live today hope full!
