Imperfectly Glorious

When fall has arrived in all her gloriousness, it doesn't matter how hard life is, one has to get out in it! That's what our family did, spur of the moment yesterday! We packed whatever was quick and transportable from the fridge and pantry (nothing fancy here!), grabbed the ball bag and headed out!

I forgot to grab the "real" camera. I didn't have a beautifully quilted picnic blanket along (no blanket for that matter!). I didn't pack cute containers of the healthiest foods of the season. The goal of flag football was quickly replaced for tackle! Life is not light and carefree. But all of the "wrong" didn't stop us from being together under a canopy of glorious.

Our quick little picnic reminded me we can't wait for life to get "just right" before we start living. We do well to live in the here and now, with what we have and who we have. The laughing, getting outdoors and changing up the rhythm of our days was a gift we all needed.

Go do something imperfectly glorious today! Who knows, you might even feel the urge to do a touchdown dance!
