Heaping Piles
The days of late have included":
lots of snow, which means no school for days and days, which means cabin fever
side note: usually I like these close knit days, but life still weighs heavy in our world, so it feels more claustrophobic
side, side note: feeling claustrophobic turns me crazy, so I haven't been using my tone of love so well lately (shameful, but true)
lots of eating things we don't always eat, which means my jeans feel a skooch snug (well, make that a couple skooches!)
parking at the bottom of our steep driveway, which means a steep hike up to home
getting Grampy to stop working so he could start playing
piling snow, throwing snow, sledding in snow, eating snow (cream) [follow that link!]
Why do I share? In the rare chance you feel less than picture perfect, I wanted you to know you aren't alone. Somebody else is pretty practiced in face-planting too! But here's some hope for both of us! There is grace and compassion from the God who understands and sympathizes and resets us again from the place of His peace. If indeed you are in need of this hope today, sneak away (I go in the bathroom when I can't get alone any other way -- you're welcome!). Lift your eyes off the chaos and hard things, off your failures and lack, and turn them up toward Father God’s heaping piles of grace and big encircling love. He gives new strength because you've reset your living within Him!
Hey, you're doing a great job. Keep going! With Jesus, you've got this!
